NAACP won’t invite Trump to national convention, breaking 116-year tradition
In a historic break from tradition, the NAACP announced Monday, June 16, it will not invite President Donald Trump to speak at its upcoming national convention. This marks the first time in 116 years that the organization has declined to extend the invitation to a sitting U.S. president.
NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson explained the decision in a press release, citing what he described as a direct threat from the president to civil rights and democracy.

That just another oxymoron event the President does not have to attend.
21% of all voting black men voted for Donald Trump in 2024. That is up from 19% of black men voting for him in 2020. In black men under 45 he doubled his support in those 4 years. Trump is awful but at least the republican party allowed their voters to vote in a primary (which the democratic party did not). Just like the leaders of the democratic party, the leaders of the NAACP put their careers first even when that erodes their organizations support and will eventually destroy it.
I refused to join a women's only group advocating for women's rights in a factory of thousands of men. Why? Because I was there to do the job… it didn't matter what was between my legs.
By isolating themselves, they fed into their own victim mentality, isolating themselves even more.
It's time to ignore the NAACP. It's overstayed its welcome.
There are no African-Canadians, no African-Mexicans and no African-Europeans for a reason… because the amount of melanin in your skin isn't the problem.
Give respect unconditionally and you will get it back.
Yes, there's the occasional HR person who shouldn't be in that position, but would you want to work for a company that hires racists anyway?

They have become a corrupt organization who have become a group of racists, real racists. Their hate for white people is worse than that of Democrats who hate blacks and kept us as slaves. Yes, people, it was Democrats who owned slaves, fought to keep us as slaves, and did their best to keep us segregated it wasn't Republicans it was Democrats.

But sure, tell us more about unity and open dialogue while slamming the door shut because you didn’t like the election results.
