My wife and I just accidentally wandered by an outdoor Grateful Dead cover band concert the other day….. I can confirm. Had I not seen the copious drugs the concert goers were on first hand, I would have needed this exact explanation to understand that noise.
Hank explains to Bobby the feelings you get when you’re fishing. If you look at it retrospectively, same could be said about a Grateful Dead concert. Everything Hank says you could apply towards the actual catching of a fish is the same feelings you can get when catching a great show or a great version of a song. That’s how Hank sums it up.
I was so confused by the grateful dead as a child, with the name, i expected them to have some type of an edge, but then it was the most bland music I had ever heard.
