Ayana Ife became a star as the runner-up of Project Runway’s 16th season – and it wasn’t easy. Originally from a small tight-knit Muslim community in upstate New York, Ayana became the first modest fashion designer on the show, bringing Muslim fashion to American televisions and New York Fashion Week.
