Joan Didion famously wrote: "Many people I know in Los Angeles believe that the Sixties ended abruptly on August 9, 1969, ended at the exact moment when word of the murders on Cielo Drive traveled like bushfire through the community, and in a sense this is true. The tension broke that day. The paranoia was fulfilled." O'Neill takes a deeper look at the aftermath of the horrific murders of actress Sharon Tate and her friends by followers of Charles Manson in 1969, and asks, what if it was just part of a plan to discredit the "hippies" and America's left wing movement?

Did the Manson murders really end the sixties? How a sensational crime changed the way the public viewed “hippies” and the psychedelic experience. (with Q&A hosted by Aimee Tollan)

This moderator was horrible. Imagine saying “this is too male dominated. Any women want to ask questions?” As if the women in the crowd need her permission.

Otherwise, Tom was great, as always.

Idk tom o Neil did they? You’re the expert apparently even though Ed sanders did a better job at connecting the dots

Don’t understand how this guy doesn’t connect Scientology and the process church

1960s California was the start of homelessness, narco-State, cult-political activism, center of America's own Cultural Revolution with Hollywood, embryonic Silicon Valley, conniving Free Speech movement, neurotic psychedelia and singer songwriter narcissism.

my opinion

Thanks for this video love listening to Tom O’Neil talk about all his research on the Tate La Bianca murders and the possible connection between Manson and the CIA, I’ve read Chaos twice already and watched several podcasts about it and I loved hearing in your video that they’ll be a Chaos 2!

@jistikoff2361 says:

Tom O'Neill with his discovery of how CIA's puppet Manson was used to demonize the peace movement and destroy the flower power ethos in Western societies, is perhaps the most important investigative journalist in the current era, his study is as important as the Pentagon papers and its not a speculation to say that the web goes all the way to Epstein, etc.

Interviewer failed to mention who wrote “St. Peter’s Snow”…

@specialroy2140 says:

Read the book in three sitting over two days the week it was released….I read several previous accounts on the events…Helter Skelter was an elaborate fairy tale .. . Ed Sanders book was almost a promotional…Always had many many questions… O'Neill's book is now the standard concerning what actually transpired…I appreciate the efforts this man made to write such an account…The truth always seems to find a way of revealing itself…
It's getting late in the game…

@ThoughtPolice007 says:

@katsdeelite says:

Thank you so much, O'Neil! I loved your first book, I am eager to read your new one. There is even more call to look into the brainwashing, false information, and now AI which is being used to push us into the next steps towards total control. Read about the Tavistock Institute, the Trilateral and Bilderberg groups, yeah, they have plans for us…
