I recently attended the conference for Awareness Lectures in Psychedelic Science, and it was a fascinating weekend where I got to hear about the latest studies and information relating to psychedelics. In this live stream I would like to share some of what I learned and answer any questions you might have.

How much HCl harmine do i take for a pharmahuasca effect
Puking on LSD! ….Oh man… I know exactly what this guy was talking about. I've experienced hours and hours of DRY HEAVING on LSD. Vomitting would finally end only when the acid wore off. Pure misery! Sometimes accompanied by "crazy nightmare thought loops".
There was no physical cause. The acid was absolutely reliably pure, but my own inner reaction to it resulted in endless puking. It's like my body somehow believed it had been poisoned. This reaction even carried over to ingesting small amounts of mushrooms too.
It took many years for me to work thru it… But it's much better NOW.
I hadn't ALWAYS reacted to "classic hallucinogenics" like that, it just somehow started on one trip and carried over to all the others.
I was compelled to give up tripping for many years until my life (and personal philosophy) changed radically.
I still can't say explicitly what causes endless vomiting, but I know it is more common than people think. The only "psychedelic luminary" (that I know about) that talks about it is, Julian Palmer, and he suggests that it may be "demon possession" or "spirit intrusion" when we trip. Some are vulnerable to that. That explanation fits.
Why not? I always now include "protection rituals (at least visualizations)" BEFORE I start. I clear the space with incense and sage. I stay alert and meditative.
It helps to always do that regardless.
I would naturally prefer OTHER explanations. I try to NEVER take on unnecessary beliefs. But so far I haven't seen it addressed anywhere satisfactorily. The usual "platitudes" about "set and setting" never helped solve this particular situation.
I would very much like one, although it's probably too late. It can get very annoying trying to load this thing. 🙂

it makes me so cross that people say there is no western culture of psychedelics. We have Liberty caps in this county and a long rich folk history of wizards, witches and fairies. I can tell you first hand that there is a rich under culture of homegrown British ceremonial use of magic mushrooms. It's ran by the drop outs and 'benefit scum' so no wonder people who attend this conference have never been invited lol
