The idea that Maine could ever elect, and I'm sure that on personal basis Troy is a good man, but Maine vote for someone that supports the communist party? That's absurd.
NO! the DEMS should be scared…and even SOME here in Maine have the cajones to QUESTION what has happened here. 170,000 Dems voted for.well..hahah..Platner untill all the crap came out (very poor vetting by the Dems..) so…170,000 people who voted THEN had their "new choice" slected by just 500 delegates…500 delegates "crowned" Troy Jackson…97.7% of the 170,000 Dems who voted HAD NO SAY IN MATTER – NONE. and…you are proud of that??? By the way…Jackson STARTED his career fighting against – READY – unfair Canadian trade practices in lumber and illegal Canadian loggers working in Maine (they got less money)…yup…the golden lefty guy started his fight…against tariffs!!!!!!!!

Collins has failed and injured Maine women and families to a far greater extent than she ever benefitted General Dynamics or BIW. COLLINS HAS GOT TO GO.
This time the not well liked statewide candidate, who is as establishment as they come, at a time when anti-establishment candidates have all the juice- this time in Maine that former legislative leader will take down Susan Collins!
Sure Gideon (the former Speaker of the House) lost 50 to 42 in 2020, and Bellows (the former legislator and current Secretary of State and more progressive than Gideon) lost 68-31 to Collins in 2014 but THIS time that same playbook will work!
What tells me Jackson is the right candidate?
Because he's run twice out of his district and almost got over 22% of the vote- so 51% against Collins should be no problem.
Because he couldn't win a selectman's seat in his hometown three years ago.
Sure he has limited charisma, almost no personal likability, but he offsets that with the flair that even his supporters describe as "not being the greatest communicator or speaker."
But at least he's a progressive and not a moderate. We're tired of moderates winning in Maine, because it happens so often. We want the first Progressive to win a statewide or federal office in Maine’s 200 year history and we think this unliked establishment white guy will get us there!!
