Microdosing: Integrating Psychedelics into Modern Life
Paul Austin

The Sleeping Octopus Assembly on Psychedelics (SOAP) is an intimate conference that explored the role of psychedelics in science, medicine, policy, and culture, which took place at a historic mansion in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from July 13-15, 2018.

This conference featured presentations from key figures in the psychedelic research and policy community, a psychedelic-themed comedy show, live musical performances, and a benefit dinner for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). We hope you enjoy the content from this unique opportunity that inspired and united local communities in a creative setting, the recently-remodeled historic mansion known as the “Sleeping Octopus.”

You articulated this so well! It really helps to have a framework in which I can start thinking about how I can help further this movement in everyday life. I am very excited about how this can help people and our society!!

I work with people as a professional who are trying to change their lives in terms of mental wellness and overcoming extreme obstacles such as addiction.

Someone asked about the therapy aspect of micro dosing. I do think you spoke about this but more in a way of public, community and cultural health and wellness. In that it is a catalyst and a tool to assist in actual behavior modification and growth on a larger scale.

Which I feel would be tremendously exciting for society and actually what people very much want, but do not know how.

And this is what he is saying open the door and start showing people how this might be a useful to change, heal and grow together as a culture if used within a healthy model such as the one described in this video.

Either ban alcohol or legalise psychedelics.

Couldve been said 10 minutes but fair play 🙂

@serena57.48 says:

Psilocybin, LSD, shrooms and ketamine are absolutely life changing substances that have so much potential to help people with mental health issues.

Circa 5:55 we get "Nixon's war on drugs." Nixon was pivotal on treating drug use as a medical problem rather than a criminal problem. He was also a really nice guy.

#Microdosing #psychedelics is a mindful and strategic regimen.

I combine microdosing psilocybin with tapping, visualization and journaling in order to reach my goals and I have had amazing results. It helps me calm my nervous system, release limiting beliefs and heal emotional wounds.

There are actually tons of anecdotal data when it comes to microdosing psilocybin. This is not new! It helps with mental health (#depression , #stress , #anxiety , #PTSD ), performance (mental and physical) and #spirituality.

In a year I went from being depressed (really despaired) to being uplifted. I wrote a book, I found a literary agent (or rather he found me), I have been interviewing publishers, I launched a new business, I have been working with a filmmaker on a short project, I have been trying plenty of fun activities (hip-hop, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing…) and so on!

The results speak for themselves in my life.

Again, to be successful the microdosing needs to be mindful and strategic.

Check out The Microdose Diet if you want more of life!

I am so happy I did and only regret not having done so years ago. My life would have been widely different and more pleasant…but better late than never!!

@lordspucke8938 says:

knockknock…this is future at the door

@jamesderoc6717 says:

is this talk about micro dosing or communism?

@andrefecteau says:

Hey Paul I can tell you straight off if you are drinking La Croix and Coffee? You are killing yourself…both are super acidic and this is the primary cause of all disease "being in an acidic condition", neutralizing all your positive ions like Vitamin D … you see folks La Croix is marketed as "healthy"…if we marketed psychedelics as such? that is how you overcome the bias…but that takes capitalism.

@andrefecteau says:

yeah it's all good…however like bastardized capitalism Western medicinal "theory" is the problem…everyone looking for the "cure" rather than the cause…now if this is the ying to the yang you need? Then game on…unfortunately it usually isn't.
Public enemy #1 is crappy food and lack of exercise…then they go take pills to treat the symptoms and then you fall into a spiral of imbalance Alice couldn't find her way out of…
Enemy #2 is trust in the government or other outside agency…memo to you: These people are stupid and do not have your best interest at heart
Bastardized capitalism is in bed with government, drug companies? Big food, big sugar, big alcohol…the more sick people that exist the more money they make, and all billed to the government….how tobacco isn't banned is amazing and shows the lunacy of "public health"
Enough for now, but true capitalism is better known as "self reliance", like you would live if you were on an island … you find a way

@marianomanto says:

solve late stage capitalism with a focus on the individual, so the solution is -> more capitalism

@licandres01 says:

That annoyed lady needs some more ayahuasca

@preet2900 says:

@SweetNonExistence says:

Great talk. The way this man speaks makes the benefit clear in itself.

@boyerindustries says:

This dude killed it

@dontsettlefor500mill says:

OK, does anyone else see the fat white worm crawling down the curtain starting at 2:02?
