Professor David Nutt has had a long career publicly promoting progressive drug policy and harm reduction while continuing to research the therapeutic value of psychedlics. David is the founder and chairman of Drug Science. He is also the Edmond J. Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology and director of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Division OG Brain Sciences at Imperial, where he continues his research.

I once heard, that epilepsy comes from a state, in which neurons of a certain brain area fire simultaneously. Could psychedelics also have an effect on that phenomenon or do I mix up different phenomenons of neuron activity I heard of? If I were an expert, I could answer myself, but as I'm not, I hope for answers of people with knowledge in neuroscience.
