Simon Tyszko – On The Rose Of Paracelsus
This presentation will document my correspondence with William Leonard Pickard, a 70 year old Buddhist, Harvard Academic, and writer who is presently serving two life sentences without any chance of parole in the US gulag system, for allegedly being one of the world’s most prolific LSD manufacturers, arrested with a portable in 2000 whilst transporting an LSD lab capable of producing 2.8 billion hits of at a time. As well as the story of his horrific predicament, Leonard is a charming and fascinating man, and has recently published a book ‘The Rose Of Paracelsus: On Secrets & Sacraments’, hand written from his jail cell detailing his research into and interviews with, a mysterious cabal of psychedelic chemists whose stated aim is to bring about an evolution in mankind through the widespread production and distribution of psychedelics. I will be presenting a specially recorded message from Leonard, directed to everyone at Breaking Convention from his high security prison in Arizona.

William Leonard Pickard deserves the Nobelpeace price.
Star Trek : While creating the Original series Gene Roddenberry was buying and using LSD from a then fairly unknown manufacturer by the name of William Leonard Pickard. William L Pickard would one day move on to be one of the largest manufactures of LSD of all time.
This was enjoyable, but Mr. Tyszko got many of his facts wrong.

strange that after nick sand was busted for the second time in canada he served no time but was instead extradited to america to serve a short sentence. pickard on the other hand….

Curious where this convention was? I attended the Psychedelic Sciences Conference last year(2017) in Oakland, i feel blessed as I was able to see & visit with Nick Sand, hug him & tell him how much his life has influenced me & how much I appreciated his life one say before he died. This looks like it was a great conference, had I known about this convention I would have been there, if it was here in the US. Hope to be there next time. Thanks! Sincerely, JDG.

Good presentation, appreciate the voice recordings and readings from the book. More attention and sympathy should be given to the cases of William Pickard, Clyde Apperson, and all other "drug offenders" who have been immorally imprisoned.
