This series offers integrative theories and models of mental health care that are housed in wellness, resilience, community, and equity. You will learn to identify and connect how mental health and wellness start with structural (economic/political/systemic) and community level interventions as well as individual supports. And you will understand models of care that provide integrative, holistic mental health care through a lens of health equity and apply the principles of holistic mental health and wellness in participants’ lives or community efforts. In this program, Dr. Josh Woolley discusses the latest research on psilocybin, a naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in ‘magic mushrooms,’ and its use as a therapeutic treatment for mental illness. Recorded on 05/24/2023. [10/2023] [Show ID: 38988]

They are mind expanding, but the stuff i took in 70s was something else, you won't know what hit you and it can be frightening but fun in a frightening way, i was 16, i took about 5 or 6 before i started having bad trips!

Beware of many scammers on this thread. Direct you to a source on Telegram and/or Instagram. taking money and no delivery. Tell you the product was found by authorities or other excuse. Yes 6 hours but with certain strains that are stronger the next day you will feel like doing nothing – so wise to do on a day before a day off

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence of major mental health improvement on the carnivore diet. Are there ever going to be any real studies, or is that just not the answer that people want so they wont go there?

Can it help borderline personality disorder or help it?

hI, i have a question. I have bipolar ( one manic psychosis 20 years ago) and add and a bit ocd and currently following traumatherapy. Is there a risk that microdosing will cause psychosis? I 'm on Lithium and anti-depression medication.

19:05 seems like kinda a openness to expirencee thing like we would be willing to try and attempt study on our selves with help of random ppl. and knowing. tho for me i am alright with ppl knowing even tho idk prison forever. same dude i think of it like i am lucky to eat them now and one day they will eat me again. even when i die i wont be useless and or lost i will continue. as life does. i also ask this why does it work the relief from mushrooms is much more whole then medication and therapy.
magic mushrooms are hard to quantify. 1:10:48. more like a spirtual thing vs science thing. tho id still like to know why i can see colours and why i am able to have compassion for my self. and no more rushing everywhere i go.

u guys need data tho people having that experiences is kinda a secondary i also notice even in places to experience everything is so sterile. unnaturally sterile and controlled unlike the experience or life. sterile doesnt make comfortable or safe. its just a way for u to control another thing u dont follow embrace.

@poor_impulsive says:

why cure disorders when you're getting paid so much every session? you want repeat customers, as long as they don't suicide, but there's always more traumatized children being developed every single second.

medical professionals reliant on mental health disorders treated with patented drugs are worried for the future of their professions

@Past_Insanity says:

its crimes against humanity that psychedelics are illegal

@Lizz7711 says:

Re pediatric use- magic mushrooms have almost zero side effect risks compared to the zillions of terrible side effects of the drugs they so flippantly prescribe to kids all the time. Microdosing is the way to go with kids IMO

@Lizz7711 says:

I hope they do more studies on microdosing to lend more credibility to it – I have been microdosing for months and it is DEFINITELY actually helping me in a much different way than any prior medication or treatment, and it is not a placebo (trust me I've "believed" in lots of prior things that simply didn't work!). I am working through issues that are slowly being revealed as I continue microdosing, I have more patience in general for others, I am not so easily overwhelmed by basic tasks that used to cause major anxiety, and more.
