And answer comes from the most curious of sources, psychedelics!
For decades psychedelics like magic mushrooms were outlawed as part of the war on drugs, but that's all changing, and the science shows that there is some incredible benefits to them. Wow! You really glazed over the dangers of psychedelic drugs. Some of these drugs are very dangerous and this was discovered in the 50's and 60's. To equate drug use with anti-war activists is incredibly misleading. LSD experiments had sometimes very negative psychological outcomes. Its not all rosy and people should know not to mess around with these kind of drugs without a lot of guidance. A "bad trip" can be traumatic. Yes, "magic mushrooms" are supposed to be the most benign but others are way more harmful than alcohol, psychologically speaking. But for people who have chronic mental health problems, they may be the solution.

I've been following your channel for years and don't generally comment on any YouTube videos, but I did want to thank you and your staff for running this story. I'm a 53-year-old male. I've dealt with major depressive disorder since age 13. I am largely treatment resistant. I had some success with a course of 6 ketamine treatments but could not continue to do them do to the cost. BTW, the couple running the Ketamine clinic put everything into this clinic and barely make enough to keep the lights on. They truly want to help people. They couldn't make the cost any lower than it already is. Why is it so expensive? The cost to fund the war on drugs is very expensive. I hope to see drugs like the one in your story come to fruition. Then perhaps countless others and I across the country and globe could benefit from them. You have no idea how much hope people like me have riding on these new drugs. Thanks again – Carleton MI
I stopped listening after seeing the chart that places meth many many times safer than alcohol. which would you rather find your kids using? I am open to the clinical use of psycodelics but lets be more careful with the arguments we use to justify it.

It's for mental health, it's to help people in need, it will solve drug addiction, as 99% of the people who clicked on this were wanting to see when it would be legal to get high on it.
Not only is psylocybin effective for depression, it is one of the ONLY things that can give relief to those of us who suffer from Cluster Headaches, the most painful medical condition known. There are NO medicines that have ever been developed for CH, yet psylocybin is 95% effective to not only give temporary relief, but can give months of pain-free living.
I found that it cured depression and stress things that you’ve been dwelling on go away however, whatever it is, that’s bothering you in your life you have to change it get rid of it. Otherwise the same problem is gonna come back again.
14 months ago, I had a stroke (in my cerebellum) and while my neurologist couldn't recommend it officially, she suggested I do research into "lsd micro-dosing". Is this sort of the same thing, and will Cybin work with that?
Post-industrial Civilization has desperately needed mechanisms to create potential pathways to thrive in this new world a billion times faster than evolution and growing ever faster!

@1:15 NO! Traditional "psychiatric" medications prescribed to be taken every day actually just SUPPRESS the symptoms of "mental illness"—which typically leads to the patient attempting to behave as if the problem has been treated, while it is only the SYMPTOMS that have been suppressed. In other words, the signals intended to alert us that a problem exists aren't getting through to us, making it easy and even logical to presume that the underlying problem has either been resolved, or it wasn't particularly important. NEITHER of which is true or accurate…
The fear folks have with psychedelics is completely unfounded. The very ones that fear it could benefit the most from it. I know personally many friends that have gotten over depression completely from just one session. It isn't magic, it's you, you do your own work. That is why it is effective. Nobody can "fix" you from the outside, you have to do it and the psychedelics give you a unique perspective you cannot get any other way. It is the most real experience you can have IMHO.
deuterium seems like asking to create long term side effects where none existed before.
I hope they leave open normal hydrogen versions of the drug. I'd definitely be helpful for multiple issues.
As you said about mushrooms, they're basically harmless, HOWEVER this product isn't mushrooms. They have changed dosage to 100% where the plant itself is much lower, changed the chemistry to be even more potent and reactive, and doped the chemistry with neutron rich ions.
Their product likely isn't as safe as they purport.
I suspect they deliberately made it less safe for cost savings and to leave parts of the brain permanently malleable so users become repeat customers.
Americans never met a drug it didn't like.
Who doesn't know someone who has been done over by mafia-like psychopathology and was later restored to be healthy in their minds.
In a primary way, psychoactive drugs are equivalent to telling lies to someone under hypnosis, chemical lies!
