Could psychedelics make you more creative? Shift your mind, connect you to others, and help you access a younger, more malleable version of yourself? Activist Rick Doblin, neuroscientist Gül Dölen, and musician Reggie Watts join Brian Greene for a mind-bending and multidisciplinary conversation about the promises and pitfalls of these “magic” molecules and their impact on creativity, connection, and consciousness.

We’re finally getting this in place. An extra bonus to helping those with PTSD, anxiety and depression I believe will be the side effect to the casual user/society….More empathy, love and caring. We could use it right about now.

@JS-cs8gz says:

Psychedelics are tools to help a person to better understand themselves and the world around them. I believe everyone should be introduced to psychedelics and then, on occasion, therapeutically use/trip to reset your mind/self.

We are mirrors/ projectors to the universe

@CanamyLots says:

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety and illicit pill addiction. Imagine carrying heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not in a couple years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

@zelalemasres says:

Like, oh my gosh, if we had just one more guest from the religious side, this programme would be totally complete!

@lukamtc9188 says:

Usually I'm disappointed by science talk shows because they're too simplified and not detailed, but this one hit different. You mentioning Konrad Lorenz and other figures I rarely see mentioned that I know of and topics I'm educated in really put me in the "these are my guys" mood and this was a very nice watch (listen).

@nervous711 says:

53:59 I might be more reserved on the word "objective". If those who don't have the same or even similar priors as those physicists, those observation could very well be meaningless or interpreted as whatever that suits their beliefs. So it's less likely that significant actions would be made for those people. Objectivity turns out to be not too that meaningful after all.

On the other hand, the effect of psychedelics is indeed highly subjective, but what's being revealed is very meaningful, so strong and so new while somehow being deeply relatable and connected, thus makes the drasic shift of mindset highly possible.

@Tina-hb7ec says:

Psychedelic therapy is just one of those great leaps in the mental health space . It's wonderful and the fact that they serve recreational use and health as well. I can't deny tripping is fun every once in a while.

@nicholaschapman8871 says:

We aren’t a democracy, we’re a republic.

@HitmanR97 says:

When people who don't trip talk about being monkeys

@kevo8137 says:

Cigarettes are legal and kill us every single day. Just keep this on repeat

@mattmurphy1990 says:

That was so gorgeous, thank you for facilitating. And that moment at the end, magic.

@user-gt3du1oo3h says:

Brian is a fantastic human.

@garystevenson5560 says:

I was born in Hell. This explains the myth of the Virgin Mary.
