You are choosing to colonize sacred medicine, begging for first nation knowledge, but we can't be given basic needs by these "new age" white people. You take TOO MUCH
The person before the last one said, "we are all in need to heal. The whole world need s healing." We need to be one and be unified, respecting each other and giving support to the ones being oppressed. These medicines have been used by our native ancestors. The ones permitted to be used were the chamanes or curander os. Mother Earth gave this knowledge to them. They have continued with old traditions respecting what Mother Earth gives them They not just take. Like our new society is used to do. They are calling for a change to use it with consciousness, not to do a marketing business. This is not a drug just to get "high" it has a spiritual, awakening meaning.
@BobCool7: I'm Joe Hardtke, Technical Director and Sound Designer for To the Best of Our Knowledge, a nationally-distributed broadcast and podcast produced by Wisconsin Public Radio. I understand you recorded and posted this video from the MAPS Psychedelic Conference a few months back. We'd like permission to use audio from this footage in a program on decolonizing psychedelics. Do you own it and would that be OK? We would be happy to credit you at the end of the episode.
The protesters are so ridiculous. Work with scientists if you are truly caring for the world. The plants don't belong to you alone. It belongs to everyone.
Respect to Rick for being so kind, calm and respectful.
Most only need decriminalizing. LSD needs proper lab production so people don't get NBOME, and it needs to be cheaper than NBOME so illegal markets are not incentivized to sell NBOME fakes.
There was no need for her to act the way she did. Maps is trying to help. I believe in ricks message and I stand for indigenous people. But again, she was way too immature…
It is very telling; the anger was met with backlash, the calm was met with clapping yet neither are heard. Pain must be given a voice & listened to with quiet reserve no matter how it presents.
This is the difference. The world is watching, everyone who touches these substances knows that money should not be the ultimate goal. There needs to be a bridge between scientific and traditional communities but that can only form if money is not the ultimate goal, but ignoring the problem isn't the solution either: in modern day it's impossible to get anywhere without money. So this is good. I think what we're seeing is a reasonable compromise.
Does anyone realize what Rick has gone through to get us where we are today? Its wack jobs like these who are going to set us backwards another 100 years. Its hard to see the blatant disrespect.
Take a shot for every time one of these fucking idiots says “Colonization”

When protesters protest one of the nicest and most empathetic people in the planet

Thanks for you consideration,

The irony is that the largest most evil pharmaceutical companies on the planet would have paid these dummies to go up and do that

The protesters are SO RUDE!!

“You have the space right now” he says smugly. How out of touch. Psychedelics haven’t yet worked for goblin or the people with his mindset.

Some people from some cultures encountered the plants first, so now their ancestors claim exclusive access? If plants heal, let the world be healed.

As Terrence Mckenna used to say, psychedelics dissolve boundaries. This is what I am seeing here.
Ricks post speech comment gloss over what just happened.
I'm surprised nobody is talking about the sexual assault accusation that fist person made to Rick right before this recording started.
